AirPods won’t stay charged/die instantly

I have AirPods A2031, and when I charge them and the case (mainly at night) in the morning after about 1-2 hours of use they die. I have the wireless case to charge them. When I put the AirPods back in the case, after about 5 or so minutes it shows full charge. I take them back out and about 5-10minutes later they die and it just repeats. I have them in the case majority of the day. I have tried resetting them (forgetting the device) and have tried leaving them in the case for 30 minutes to 2 hours (after my phone shows they are at 100%) and it continues to die almost instantly. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance

Just forgetting the device won't reset them. Have you tried to reset them following these instructions?

  • AirPods (all generations) or AirPods Pro (all generations): Put the AirPods in their case, close the lid, then wait 30 seconds. Open the lid, then press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until the status light flashes amber, then white.
