Continuous returning to macOS after a factory reset

so i tried to factory reset my macbook pro, i believe its a 2018-2020 model. i followed a youtube video and followed it step by step. and it worked for the guy in the video but after erasing a specific disk utility like the video told me, my mac book won't reset. i keep trying to reset it but i keeps opening macOS Utilities and i don't know what to do. i attempted to reinstall macOS but it keeps telling me its unable to connect and its not my wifi thats the issue. i also attempted to go to restore from time machine and it simply won't load. i left it for almost 45 minutes and nothing showed up on the page. i have no idea what to do now.

Sounds like you may have been following old directions for erasing and formatting the drive.
