Loses power when unplugged. Powers on by itself when plugged back in. If plugged in and shutdown, it automatically restarts.
Battery Condition: Normal, Maximum Capacity: 100%, Cycle Count: 1
If it has one cycle count the MacBook is almost brand new, am I correct?
If so go to battery settings and see if the MacBook is doing something when unplugged. If you leave it unplugged will it fall a sleep? Or will it stay on? What is happening if you put the MacBook to sleep manually? Will it drain as fast as before?
Also you can try and boot the Mac in the safe mode to see if the issue persist. If it does not persist in the safe mode it is generally caused by an external piece of software, you might want to evaluate the software installed to your mac

Nothing unusual in the battery settings. I've tried switching the Low Power Mode settings to see if that changes anything, and it does not. If the Mac is unplugged, it can't be turned on. If Mac is plugged in and left alone, it will start to sleep and immediately wake up. If the Mac is plugged in and Shutdown, it immediately powers back on.
It's downloading Sonoma 14.4.1 right now. Will give Safe Mode a try after that and let you know.
Same issue is Safe Mode.
I'm going to wipe to start over. What's interesting, is it just showed the battery at being 21%, but now in Recovery Mode, it says 100%.
MacBook Air M1 Turns off when unplugged. Battery health is fine.
