Glitchy iPad
My iPad has been very glitchy lately, kicking me out of otherwise working apps, etc. I’ve tried restarting my iPad, updating, closing apps, and everything I can think of.
Any suggestions?

Try to set it back to factory settings, which will download a new copy of iPadOS and install it onto your device.
Then restore from your latest backup. If case the issue comes back, set it back again, this time setting it up as a new device, without using the latest backup.

Do you still have enough free space left on your iPad?
Reinstalling iPadOS could rule out a software issue:

I still have over half of my available space. It’s strange. It hasn’t been deleting anything, either, which is what I’d expect.
