Cannot Download/Run YouTube TV on Apple TV

I am not able to download the YouTube TV app onto a Apple TV. In some instances it downloads successfully but will not run. And with two of my Apple TV's it downloads and runs!

I have ensured IOS is up to date, ensured there is network connectivity, have restarted the offending devices on multiple occasions, deleted and attempted to download again, restarted the ISP modem with no success.

What is odd is that other streaming services such as Netflix and ESPN are working. I have read where others have had this issue in the past and am trying to determine if a fix has been developed. HELP!

It’s more than likely an issue with the YouTube App itself and you’d need to troubleshoot with them. Otherwise wait to see if they update the App. Or delete the App again and reinstall. It’s not clear if you said you rebooted the wifi (if using) which would be best to do. Thank you for the reply. All my units are on ethernet (though I did unplug one and attempt with wifi, no joy) and I also rebooted the ISP modem. While I share your suspicions on the app (I have downloaded and the app will not boot up), it has successfully downloaded and operates on two of my ATV's in past 48 hours. On two of my units it will not even download, it attempts, the little circle spins for about five minutes and it goes back to the cloud symbol.

This makes me suspect the ATV.

I did see a post on here a few hours ago that stated some other apps were behaving this way (Apps not loading).I can’t find the page because it appears the forum isn’t working right now. They were updating the site and obviously something has gone awry. I could only get into this thread from my email. I don’t know what else to suggest but if there is something going on with other users it will get reported and Apple will issue a fix. If you see a software update to install then install it. If it’s still happening tomorrow you can submit feedback to make Apple aware. Feedback - Apple TV - Apple
