System Settings not opening after update to Ventura 13.4 (2021 Macbook Pro M1 Pro)

Hello,

After updating to Ventura 13.4, I have not been able to access System Settings on my 2021 Macbook Pro M1 Pro.

Here are the solutions that I've tried:

Simple restart
Rebooting in safe mode
Reinstalling Ventura (now upgraded to 13.6.6.)

I've contacted customer service and after testing the said solutions, they want me to upgrade to Sonoma.

I would prefer not to as I've had previous experiences upgrading to the next OS and battery life always drops. There are many Reddit reviews of others experiencing issues with Sonoma and I would prefer to not go that route.

If anyone has any solutions that would be greatly appreciated.

Unless you're required by your employer, back of school I would recommend that you uninstall it according to the developers instructions. If you use it to watch movies in another country that would otherwise be not available that's OK. But I wouldn't use it for general internet browsing

Have you installed and run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up", anti-virus or VPN apps on your Mac?

Here's some food for thought on VPNs: Uuol's or bank's servers, they provide false security from a privacy standpoint. I’m delayed in discovering this thread and have no advice. However, I also have the 2021 MacBook Pro M1. I also lost access to system settings, and the only app I’ve installed out of the ones Old Toad listed is Express VPN as well. Hmmmm.🤔
