Message syncing with iPhone and MacBook Air

My MacBook Air used to be synced with my iPhone in terms of messages/chats and stopped. What is the setting to enable this? Thank you so much in advance.

iMessages not syncing automatically between Mac My MAC is 15.6.1 (24G90). My IPhone Pro Max 16 is 18.6.2. My IMessages between the two devices are NOT automatically synching. I have to manually synch on each device. I Cloud and Apple are signed into the same PW. I have tried restarting each device, but have had no luck. Is this an Apple programming glitch or is there anything else I can try.

Macbook and iPhone messages do not always sync. This just started happening - sometimes, SOME of the messages will not show up on MacBook . These are Apple user messages (so not the green words). Also, right now, some people's prior messages are all gone on MacBook (when they were there last week). I am updated on all devices.
