Is it possible to keep the iTunes for windows Sync on without first starting a backup? (windows 10)

Note: I just made a backup recently when updating the iOS. I would like to see if I can do a test without overwriting the current backup. I read in another post that I can disable synchronization together with backups so it doesn't do that automatically. However, I do not want it to stop synchronizing completely, but simply stop itunes from overwriting the current backup.

Is there a way to do this, and test the program without deleting the current backup? Just perhaps, the software will analyze the phone, and match the files?

You should be able to do this by turning off automatic backups to the computer. See step 7 in:

It works for me. I can sync without backing up unless I manually select it after syncing.

Hello, I am following up here. I am wondering if you may be able to tell me why my version of Itunes that I have is Version 12.12.10.1 in

Windows Home 22H2 that I use with my iPhone that has iOS 17.4.1, does not recognize that the phone has been updated? I know that I did not update the phone with iTunes, but I think that previously, it would recognize that the phone had been updated. It currently keeps asking me to update.
