Brand new iPhone and lightning headphones not working

I use my phone for making music on garage band all the time. Untill recently. I am having trouble with my corded iPhone lightning headphones not working.

I even bought brand new apple lightning ear pods and a brand new iPhone 11 that’s up to date on its software. Can’t record anything without headphones because Bluetooth headphones are garbage and have a delay for recording.
