AirPods Pro disconnecting when entering calls

I’ve been having this problem for a while now. Every time when I enter a call, either from cellular or from an application I have a problem where both AirPods disconnect.

They try reconnecting but keep failing. Only way to fix it is by turning off Bluetooth manually.

This problem has been ongoing for a while.

I’m using an iPhone Xs

iOS version 17.4.1

AirPods Pro 2

Try and reset the AirPods to the factory settings to see if the issues persist

AirPods (all generations) or AirPods Pro (all generations): Put the AirPods in their case, close the lid, then wait 30 seconds. Open the lid, then press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until the status light flashes amber, then white.
