Hey Carrie,

To back up your iPhone Safari bookmarks to iCloud without risking deletion, you can ensure iCloud Sync for Safari is enabled in your iCloud settings. This ensures your bookmarks stay synced across devices without being deleted. Here's how to do it:

1. On your iPhone, go to Settings.

2. Tap on your name at the top of the Settings menu.

3. Select "iCloud."

4. Toggle the switch next to "Safari" to enable iCloud Sync for Safari.

This way, your Safari bookmarks will be backed up to iCloud and synced across all your devices without the risk of deletion.

I know this is a bit late reply to this but

No matter what I do, I can’t ever get my Safari Bookmarks to ICloud. I’ve been having this issue for a good while and just finally gave up on it.

Ive made sure Safari is toggled on in the directions, I’ve also Turneed it off and Back on in hopes that would help. Nothing.

I recently got a New IPhone, I was in hopes MAYBE somehow that may help , didn’t.

when Upgradeding to my Current IPhone, I still had and kept my IPhone I had before it, so when setting the New IPhone up,

i just put them close to eachother and let everything Transfer over to the iphone that way.

Im using my same ICloud account I have had for several years, And use the same ICloud account/email on my iPad as well.

I dnt have a MacBook or iMac anymore.

I don’t understand at all why My Safari Bookmarks I have added do not backup .

I’ve gone to the ICloud website before and checked checked out the restore section to see what was and wasn’t available for me to restore if needed.

My Contacts and the other few things I can see are there to choose to restore, But Never has there Been a Single Bookmark for me to backup if needed.

Should I maybe Make a Completely New ICloud ID/account/email ? Could that somehow be whats causing the issue?

I just don’t want to really make a whole new ICloud and then ALL My Apps /Notes etc, that are connected to the ICloud I have had for years have to start all over again, If thats not needed.

I can’t seem to find anything helpful, everything just says basically the same exact information you’ve already posted.

I can turn on my Older iPhone (That I left logged into same ICloud account) and It seems the syncing works, cause I’ve noticed a few new bookmarks I’ve added on my New IPhone, will be on my Older one as well.

it just doesn’t Backup my Bookmarks at all.

Ive noticed other people have the same issues and have posted about them on Reddit and other places but Not much help.

everthing on My ICloud is turned on in the settings and tapping my Name then going to ICloud, Everything is setup and works Except Bookmark Bqckups.

Im running the current IOS version, I’ve tried turning the safari off and back on, I dnt have a Apple Store Anywhere Closentonme , it’s literally Hrs away.

What could be the issue? And If I were to make a New ICloud account, Wouldn’t I need to download All my Apps again under the New ICloud name/account at some point?

I assume the Notes, passwords etc , would stay on my phone and would backup to my New ICloud ? Or would have to start a lot of things fresh from the New ICloud?

Im only even considering that as a last resort, there has to be a way a fix to my Bookmarks not showing in the Restore Backup section of ICloud website.

help definitely needed
