mid 2015 mbp won't detect new NVME ssd after formatting

So far, have tested 3 SSD's cause of a scorched earth policy, Don't ask.

Summary, mid 2015 MBP A1398 15 inch with these stats. Basically my Apple SSD was KAPUT, so I only loaded Monterey straight from Internet recovery onto my SSD's using an enclosure after formatting them. No need to have load the OS onto the firmware before changing the SSD internally, in fact I even removed the internal SSD when doing the OS loading so, as long as you have the same computer I do have no fear. Otherwise eh.

I will be testing the Crucial P3+ and Hynix Gold P31 tomorrow and will settle on a card based on power draw and read write speed. From the look at the moment, it might be the Crucial p3+ but we shall see

I am looking forward to the SK Hynix if the low operating temperatures are to be believed. I will prioritize low heat / longer battery over significantly faster read/write times. Let's see though, Iunno.

As of today, I was able to load the High Sierra and then Monterey onto the WD SN750 SE ssd, but it just won't register when I place it internally. So I fear, if none of these ssd's register, then I have to find an OEM Apple SSD, place that in, and port the MACOS then reinstall my ssd's. Hope it doesn't come to that case though.

So based on this mac forum, I got the WD SN750 SE which is slated to work, however on Amazon, I purchased, and it doesn't work.

Looking at the description, it doesn't say that it is compatible with the WD I purchased, so I just purchased, and it says it is an NGFF adapter (photo description also says that it is compatible with my SSD) although I wouldn't see why there is a difference between the two, maybe someone can explain?

Also, I will say, that I took out the internal SSD entirely, and just had the external ssd + usb boot drive going, and laptop booted up pretty **** quickly. So I definitely know the SSD was corrupt, I hope though it's not a mother board issue that is the reason for not detecting the new card, and that it's just the wrong adapter.......
