What happens to software and hardware after force restart?

For a specific reason I had to force restart 15 pro max. As I searched on the internet, I could not find much descriptive information. Could the forced restart have damaged my device at the hardware or software level because it suddenly cuts off the power of the device and turns it on again?

In general, forced restart is not recommended on technological devices. Could something go wrong while writing data in the iOS software in the background?

As the Apple technical team said, it is good to clean cache files from time to time. Is this true?

It's very unlikely that restarting your iPhone 15 Pro Max forcefully will harm it, either physically or digitally. Here's why:

  1. Safety Measures: Apple makes iPhones with the idea of forced restarts in mind for fixing issues. It's a safe process that shuts down power suddenly but in a controlled way to reduce risks.
  2. Focus on Software: Forced restart mainly affects the phone's software by restarting processes and clearing temporary memory. The hardware parts aren't directly involved.
  3. Data Protection: When your phone writes data, it's done carefully with protections in place. So, a forced restart during this time is highly unlikely to mess up your data.

Even though forced restarts are usually safe, it's best to use them only when necessary. Here are some situations where you might need to force restart:

  1. Frozen Screen: If your phone gets stuck and won't turn off normally.
  2. App Crashes: If an app keeps crashing and a normal restart doesn't help

Due to the iOS 17.4.1 update being stuck, I canceled the update and did a forced restart. That's what the person from Apple support said. I think we can think that my device is working as it should now, so there is no problem.

I also want to ask you this. Will returning the device to factory settings restore the current software to my device without any problems, or would installing the software via iTunes accomplish this more accurately?
