AirDrop didn’t save photos after transferring

so we took some photos with my friends from a iphone 14 then i airdropped it with my xr and as i saw the “airdrop complete” i immediately deleted the photos permanently from the iphone 14 then when i checked my phone in the photos there’s no sign of our photos please help:((

The AirDrop should go directly into the Photos library on your iPhone. Did you look in the All Photos. view of the library? It would be the last (bottom) photo in the library.


Also look in the Albums/Imports and Album/Recents.


If it's not there then I think you've lost them. Next time check to make sure the transfer was successful before deleting the source material, kinda like the old carpenter's adage: measure twice - cut once.
