zap sound logic Pro X

I live stream our church's services, and recently changed from a standard audio cable off our Behringer sound board to using its X-USB output to my MacBook Pro running Logic Pro.

Overall I was happy with it. But, there were 13 "zap" sounds during the approximate 90 minute service. They were quick, and sporadic, so it wasn't something that happened on a regular basis, nor was it something that happened with the old setup.

When I look at the wave form in iMovie there's the sound, followed by what looks like a complete drop in sound, though you don't hear a drop out, per sé.

Anybody have any suggestions on what it is? I've included a small 10 second clip from the video file so you can hear it.

Also, are you connecting the sound card using usb cable directly to the mac, or using a dongle/hub? Usb hubs/dongles can cause issues. And you should stay away from using an ethernet extender. It would just be another item to cause noise or other issues during a live recording.

If your sound board is more than 12 feet or so from the mac, you might just be safer to use the audio cables.

Unless I’m mistaken there are no specific sound drivers for the Behringer X-USB other than what’s built into the O/S. Could be wrong though.

I had planned on using a USB over Ethernet extender. But, something odd happened in that it was working in Saturday. But, Sunday morning couldn’t get it working whatsoever. Honestly, I’d rather use that if I could.
