Managed App Store users

Is it possible to set up managed users in the Apple Business Manager that have access to the App Store?

Managed Apple Business ID and a personal Apple ID Hello, I understand that this is not a good practice but I am trying to understand if there's a way to install custom apps privately distributed through App Store Connect on to my employees' personal devices (with their explicit permission) without going through the hassle of logging in and out of the provided organisation managed Apple ID. Account & iPad managed by ABM - User can't buy app Hello, The iPad & User are managed by the Apple Business Manager. The user is on the groupe "Personal" (simple user). I connect the account Apple Store on the iPad, but I can't buy app on the store ! Why ? isn't possible to have an iPad and an user managed by BSM ? thanks for your answer ! Rocco

apple business manager cant purchase apps I understand this is the intended function with a managed apple ID but then how do you get apps on devices if you cannot used a managed apple ID to install apps?

No. You'll either need to allow the users to sign into their personal Apple IDs and allow them to install apps from the App Store, or you'll need to use the Volume Purchasing Portal within ABM to acquire the apps and then deploy them via MDM.
