Device to Device Migration for Apple Business Manager devices using Intune

I understand that only iCloud is the only supported method to backup and restore (old-new phone migration) for devices that are managed in Intune. It looks like with the support of Device to Device migration using Quick Start menu, people tend to use Company Portal rather than Apple Business Manager enrollment because Quick Start is easier to use. Can Apple support Device to Device migration for Intune devices officially? Microsoft is saying that they are not supporting it because the limitation is on Apple side.

Moving MDM in Apple Business Manager I'm planning an migration from one MDM to another (Intune) and tested that removing the management from a DEP device (old MDM), then move the phone in ABM from the original MDM to Intune, restart the device and enrol using the Intune portal works. It did, the phone is then fully Supervised and managed in Intune. So my question is, is this a supported method?
