IMAP Email Notifications

Hi,

I have an IMAP email account installed on my iPhone which does not have the option to "push" notifications. Is there some way to enable this email account to give a notification to the phone whenever an email is received? Currently it will only give notifications when I open the inbox in the Mail app.

Can't set email up as IMAP on iphone & ipad only POP3 I've had to delete and re-install my email on iphone and ipad (it is a BT email address) but it doesn't give me the option to set it up as a IMAP email and automatically does it as a POP3. I can't see how to change this (always have been able to before) and I now have over 3000 emails because it hasn't synced then as read, deleted etc. Any ideas what I am doing wrong. My iphone is on iOS 16.4.1 and Ipas is 16.3.1

Mail account defaults to POP instead of Imap Setting up my wife’s new iPad. Main email account only goes in as a POP account. Same account is IMAP on our two iPhones and my IPad. There is nowhere to select IMAP. What do I need to do?
