Note folder duplications

On my iPhone 11: I always back up notes to iCloud, so I have 1 note folder under the cloud heading. Yesterday I updated iTunes on my laptop, in doing so I stupidly clicked to backup to iCloud instead of my laptop. In hindsight this created two (2) separate Note folders on my phone.

When I delete one of the entries under either folder, it deletes it from both Note folders. How do I delete the extra folder on my iPhone that was created due to the iTunes update?

i’m not very computer savvy so laymen terms please.. sorry us older folks struggle, Lol.
