Control MacBook Pro with 4th Gen Apple TV Remote?
Can you connect a 4th Gen Apple TV remote to a Mac computer without first having to add any third-party apps like Remote Buddy?

No, the Siri Remote/Apple TV Remote is made for use with the Apple TV box (4th gen. or later) only.
(Else this third party app v2 wouldn’t have a market for this feature. They do have a 30 day trial, though.)
