HomePod Sound Issue with Apple TV

I have two devices that connect to HDMI in the back of my TV. The Apple TV itself and my PS5. In order to get sound for both and have the HomePod be the main speaker for sound I have to connect the Apple TV to the HDMI Arc on the back of my TV. But, when I turn my TV off and the next day I turn it back on next to Play Television Audio it says On (Not Available) and so then it wants to control the volume of the TV. Not the HomePod. But, once I click and it does the setup then it will say On (ARC) there. I have tried unplugging and plugging the HDMI Cord and unplugging and plugging the HomePod. Both are running 17.4 Has anyone else ran into this exact issue and been able to fix this?

HomePod, 16

Assuming all devices are off (or in standby), does the availability of the ARC connection to HomePod via the ATV4K depend on power-on order? It shouldn't matter, but reports say 17.4 seems to have some issues when the ATV4K needs to react to HDMI CEC commands - it could be that the TV's "Hey HDMI audio receiver for ARC, wake up and be my sound!" isn't getting through to the ATV4K. I'm speculating. Rumor has it that the early update testing option addresses some of the CEC-related issues.

Try waking the TV with the ATV4K - then switch on live TV or the PS5.
