Apple Watch control center

I see lots of posts about now using the on button to show control center. That isn’t the case for me, and I don’t see any other posts about my issue. My watch is on 8.8.1 and my phone is on 17.4.1

The action of the change of the control center only happens when the watch has watch OS 10.xx or later.

Since you have a version lower the 10 the new changes do not apply.

To be clear, the on button only shows favorite apps.
