I want to remove the MDM (administrator), but when I look under VPN there are no choises.
However under settings at the top I can still see that the device is controlled by the administrator.
I have talked to the administrator, and he has removed the settings from his end.
I have tried to re-install the iphone.
What to do?
It sounds as if your old employer didn't properly release the phone from their system. If you can, contact them and see if they can do that now. If they can't or won't, there isn't really anything you can do as far as I know.
Can you visit the IT folks in person? They have to remove the MDM profile on the phone.
Contact your IT administrator or MDM provider to obtain the latest MDM profile.

Well, it won't hurt. And, it's always possible that, when you called to ask about it, they realized they hadn't released it and did so and kind of didn't mention it.
If that doesn't work, as lobsterghost1 suggested, try to take it to them in person.

To answer your questions:
It used to be a corporate phone, but I got to keep it after end employment. So it was installed manually by the IT-department at that time
I cannot erase under VPN, as there is no profile
I cannot enable SLL trust - the option is simply not there to enable.

I have been in touch with the old employer, and they say they have released it properly, and they suggest that a complete deletion of the phone would help?
However, I have done this once - would it worth another try?
