Garage door opener in CarPlay, How to...

The wrong garage door opener is showing up in CarPlay when I get close to home.

I have placed many calls to Apple tech support about this, and tried many ideas of my own, to no avail.

Yesterday I tried unplugging my wife's door opener and it still showed up in car play.

I have found what may well be an unpublished method for changing the default door opener in CarPlay...

My garage doors sit side by side in the Home app. My wife's door opener was on the left side, mine on the right. I opened the "edit home view" control and swapped their positions on the screen. It appears that whichever door opener is positioned on the left becomes the default!
