energy saving mode on m2 pro reduces refresh rate?
Hi, i have a question if the energy saving mode reduces the refresh rate? My display is set to pro motion but if battery saving mode is on i think my refresh rate drops to 60 hz max. Is this normal?

ProMotion allows Variable refresh rate.
Variable refresh rate means the refresh rate can vary LOWER as well and, when needed, Higher.
if what you want is at least 60 Hz, select 60 Hz and it will stay exactly 60 hz.

It would seem if you are using energy Saver you expect less performance, no(?)
ref:
Change the refresh rate on your MacBook Pro or Apple Pro Display XDR - Apple Support
Save energy on your Mac - Apple Support
The rule of thumb—if you are near the mains leave it plugged in, if you need the portability then run on the battery only.
