WiFi sharing doesn't work

I am trying to setup wifi sharing from my mac to other devices. Mac is connected to ethernet cable via hub.

After completing all steps and turning sharing on I do not get "Turn on your wifi" prompt even when it is turned off. Also no hotspot appears if I turn on wifi manually.

In Settings, what does the description below "Ask to join networks" indicate? In Ventura, in System Settings > Wi-fi, there are toggle switches for "Ask to join networks" and "Ask to join hotspots". I have both of them currently off. Under each of them is grey text, For "Ask to join networks" the grey text is "Known networks will be joined automatically. If no known networks are available, you will have to manually select a network." Does that description describe the current situation? Or does it describe what would happen if I toggled it on? For "Ask to join hotspots" the grey text is "Allow this Mac to automatically discover nearby personal hotspots when no Wi-Fi network is available." What about this one? Does it describe the current situation or what would happen if I toggled it on?

Internet sharing: Wi-Fi to Ethernet I would like to share the internet connection from a Mac mini to another Mac computer connected via Ethernet. The Mac mini is connected to the Internet via WiFi. To my surprise, Ethernet is not listed in the "To computers using" section. Why not?

Your description is hard to follow because you do not say that you are using a Computer that is Sharing its Ethernet connection out over its Wi-Fi, and you are trying to connect a different computer using Wi-Fi.

From the computer that is sharing its Ethernet over Wi-Fi, Could you please post a screen shot of:

system preferences > Network
