WiFi sharing doesn't work

I am trying to setup wifi sharing from my mac to other devices. Mac is connected to ethernet cable via hub.

After completing all steps and turning sharing on I do not get "Turn on your wifi" prompt even when it is turned off. Also no hotspot appears if I turn on wifi manually.

since i updated my macbook it will no longer allow internet sharing via wifi I updated my MacBook Pro, M1, 2020 to macOS Monterey 12.3.12 days ago. Since this update I've not been able to share my internet connection via a ethernet/USB adapter via wifi. It will connect to other networks however it won't even start sharing but will still connect to other networks. I have rebooted several times with wifi off and on prior to restart. Any suggestions?

wifi internet sharing disconnects Hi, I saw this question in old systems, but it's making me crazy and can't find a solution. I'm sharing my ethernet connection from my iMac (High Sierra) using internet sharing with wifi, mostly to my phone (normal wifi is very weak in this spot of the house). But every few minutes the sharing stops and it's just the grey wifi icon. I have to turn it off and then on to restart the sharing, or get in to control panels and re-share. Any idea why that happens? Thanks!

internet sharing is not sharing in Monterey 12.4 Hello, I have MacBook air m1 2020, I updated my computer to Monterey 12.4 today and suddenly the internet sharing is not working any more. By not working i mean that it says that it is activated but in the top bar there is no up arrow (the usual one in the wifi the sign when i used to share) and my phone/other pc can not find any trace of that wifi. I am using an ethernet cable over an adapter to my computer and the internet is working fine in my computer (i am using it rn). What is the solution please? this feature is essential for me

Your description is hard to follow because you do not say that you are using a Computer that is Sharing its Ethernet connection out over its Wi-Fi, and you are trying to connect a different computer using Wi-Fi.

From the computer that is sharing its Ethernet over Wi-Fi, Could you please post a screen shot of:

system preferences > Network
