Where are the texts after backing up?
After you backup/sync your iphone to your macbook, where on my macbook are the texts and how can I view them on the macbook?

You don't. Backups can't be viewed.
Even if you enabled this Set up iCloud for Messages on all your devices - Apple Support which isn't part of the backup, still can't view it on the cloud.
