create new table from existing cells
I moved a big spreadsheet from Excel into Numbers. Is there any way to breakup the spreadsheet into multiple Tables?
Mac Studio, macOS 14.4

You can make a new table from a range of cells like this:
After getting these cell to be a separate table, you may want to convert the first row and/or column of that table into headers if the information in them is headers/labels, not data. And you might want to create a footer row if the last row is a row of formulas that sum up the columns (or something like that). You can do it a few ways. One way is to use the format sidebar. In the Table tab of the sidebar, select how many headers and footers you want.
You can use the same technique to relocate entire rows or columns and also to rearrange rows or columns in an existing table.
