Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I get this message each time: 'This book cannot be opened because required software cannot be downloaded'.
The book I wish to open is Ulysses: A Readers Odyssey by Daniel Mulhall
I previously had opened the book (a year or two ago). How do I correct this problem?

Do you see this book in Apple's Book Store?
Yes, the book is in the Apple Boos Store
You should be able to download it again, you might try that.
Than you Tom. I can download it to my iPhone, through the In My Library portal, but not to my MacBook Pro. When I try downloading to the latter, I get the same message as before. Bob
Are you using the same Apple ID everywhere, including when that book was purchased?
Have you deleted the book before attempting the re-download on the Mac? If not, try that.
Thank you Mr Hoffman. I removed the book from my library and the Books app gave me the option of downloading it again. I now can read the book on my MacBook Pro.
