WhatsApp pics are saved automatically when the option is turned off

Since the update in March 2024, all photos received in WhatsApp chat are automatically saved to my album. I had this function turned off all the time. I have tried to delete and reinstall the app and update to the latest version. It was still not fixed.

Does anyone else have the same problem or it is just me? Not sure if this is iOS' issue or WhatsApp itself? Hope to get some insight to fix this bug.
