That would be a question for Walmart. Its up to them whether they take a trade in for an Apple Watch. Apple has nothing to do with that.
Activation Lock will probably cause it to be denied though. At least, Apple, does not normally accept Activation Locked devices for trade in so I don't expect Walmart to be any different.
