My reminders have randomly just disappeared, how do I get them back?

I haven’t done anything differently to my phone in the last couple days. Out of nowhere my reminders have all disappeared and I had a bunch. It says my reminders app is using iCloud in my settings but I’m not sure how to retrieve it from the cloud. My phone last backup was yesterday so it should have them all but I can’t find them. When I go to my reminders app and choose to look at already completed reminders it shows a few random reminders over the past 3 years but it’s not ALL of them. I fully function off of my reminders app and this is devastating someone please help. Thanks!
