Watch 3 unable to download music

I have tried everything (including talking with apple) I have iPhone SE and an Apple Watch 3 , and music will no longer download to it. My music is locally stored on my Mac (mp3 files), no probleming transferring to phone. Music plays on phone but on the watch app the songs are greyed out. (I own all of this music legally). will not transfer.

It returns to the main screen with the playlist shown and a little orange rotating icon 6. Then the playlist just disappears after about 10 seconds.

Music won’t sync/play on Apple Watch ultra I have an apple IPhone 14 ProMax, my music plays just fine on my phone, songs/playlists etc everything in my apple library, not Apple Music subscription, but my library, my songs. However with the latest update to my watch, none of the songs play on my watch anymore. It is quite frustrating as I purchased the Apple Watch Ultra to be able to be phone free and listen to music on my runs. I have read that joining Apple Music subscription fixes this issue as it seems that it is a pretty common problem, however I don’t want to have to pay $72/year to listen to the music that I was listening to for free just a little while ago. It worked just fine on my garmin and is still loaded on my garmin, looks like I will be moving away from Apple and back to garmin. Please help.

Apple music in WatchOS 10, Apple Watch Ultra, greying out non purchased music when playing playlists from phone. I can no longer use my Apple Watch Ultra to play non iTunes purchased music from playlists located on the phone. I can see the songs, they are just greyed out. The only songs that are playable in the playlists, are iTunes purchased ones. Something similar happened years ago where we lost the ability to use the watch to play music on the phone. I don't upload all my music to my watch, I often use the watch to select a much large selection of music on the phone when hiking, cycling, or skiing. This is a problem.
