Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Can't scan documents to email with Scansnap ix500

Just recently I can no longer scan directly to email attachment using my Fujitsu Scansnap ix500. Currently I have to save to folder and then attach as an email.


Basically I get this "Scan to E-mail" dialog when I click OK nothing happens.



I'm currently running Big Sur 11.7.10 on a MacBook Air 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7, if the helps.

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.


Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.


If still need be.


To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...


Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.


Does it work in the new account?
