How come my messenger notification only notifies me with 'sent a message.' instead of showing me the message previews on the notification bar etc. How do I change it back to showing me previews? I've checked if my 'show previews' settings are on and they are on both settings

I was facing a similar issue, and changed the show previews settings in iPhone settings and notifications >show previews in messenger settings. It worked.
Same is happening to me over the last few days. Not sure what it is. This has happened before, and if I remember correctly, there’s nothing that can be done on our end. We just have to wait it out until Messenger and/or Apple figures it out. Good luck!
