Screen stopped being responsive on IPhone 13. Have tried the three button approach and it still is stuck.

On my screen I have a slide to power off, an SOS Emergency Call and a Cancel X button and none of them work.

If I hit the right side button my face screen shot screen comes up with the battery on 40% and the date and time, telling me to swipe up but nothing happens when I do. The screen is totally unresponsive even since I turned it off, and later attempted to turn it back on again.

i was still on 16.? iOS and had turned off auto update to 17.? as I had heard bad Apple press about the update causing problems.

Siri is coming up to tell me I am not connected to the Net, yet my Sim card when taken out still works on my Apple SE. Too many things to understand what has suddenly gone wrong with a phone that was working yesterday.
