Executing the app in the 'Application' folder.

I have an issue where an application, when executed from the 'Downloads' folder, gives an error and prompts me to move it to either the 'Applications' folder or the desktop. However, when I move the application, it still doesn't work and continues to display the error as if it were still in the 'Downloads' folder.

Does anyone know why?

Error:

Secure Browser may be running from the original download location of the file. This prevents certain functions, including automatic updates, from working correctly. Move Secure Browser to another location, such as the desktop or the Applications folder.

Make certain the Application exists in the /Applications folder.

Drag the version from Downloads into the Trash, if it still exists.

To be absolutely certain everything is starting up in a predictable way, Restart your Mac.

Now try to launch the Applications again.

Is there an installer in the dowloaded folder?

Otherwise, remove any anti-virus or so-called"cleaning" apps and try again. If that fails, try moving it while booted into Safe Mode:

Use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

If none of those are working, then you need to contact the developer because it may take a while for another end user familiar with that app to see your question here.

PS: Many thanks for translating that error message for us. 👍🏼
