MacBook Air Display Not Working

This morning my MacBook had an error message on startup with a black screen and an exclamation point indicating I needed to restore the laptop. At that point, the internal display stopped working, so I connected an external monitor via HDMI. After the other options didn't work, I erased the hard drive and reinstall MacOS Monterrey. I now up and running with the laptop at issue, but the internal display is still not working. Any ideas?
