Lightning Digital AV Adapter

Bought a Lightning Digital AV Adapter so I can watch stuff from my iPhone onto my big tv screen. No issues at first, until just a few months in. The cord is super cheaply made. It keeps twisting around and I paid $89 Canadian at the source store, here in Canada, and I did not expect the cord made by Apple to be so cheaply made. I can no longer use it anymore :/ super frustrating. I know there are alot cheaper brand cables on Amazon and other online stores but was told to only use the Apple brand one by a store staff member who was working at the source store. I take care of my things, so there’s no need of the cord breaking already after only been used a few times :/ I think it’s twisted so much that there’s more and likely torn cords inside of it now and no warranty. Anyone else have issues with these cords?
