Messaging deleted by sender?
I was was an offensive message from a neighbor. I check it today and he deleted it. Is there any way I can recover the message??

Firstly, if you have any other devices linked to the same messaging account, such as an iPad or Mac, you might check to see if the message is still present there, especially if they haven't synchronized since the deletion occurred.
Secondly, if you regularly back up your iPhone, either through iCloud or iTunes, there's a possibility that the deleted message might be included in a previous backup. You could attempt to restore your device from an older backup to see if the message is retrievable. Be cautious though, as this process will overwrite any current data on your device with the data from the backup.
Additionally, you might consider reaching out to your carrier's customer support. Some carriers retain copies of text messages for a limited duration, usually for legal or security reasons. They may be able to assist you in retrieving the deleted message if it falls within their retention period.
If none of these options prove fruitful, unfortunately, it's unlikely that you'll be able to recover the deleted message. In the future, if you anticipate needing messages for evidence or documentation purposes, it's a good idea to take screenshots or otherwise save them outside of your messaging app.
The sender only has 2 minutes to pull a message back after it has been sent. If you had seen it on your device after that 2 minutes, then it was not the sender that removed the message. Check your Recently Deleted folder to see if it had been accidentally deleted.

Was this in Messages? Or email? In Messages, if it was an iMessage (blue), the message can be "unsent" but only within two minutes of having been sent. If it was an email sent through Mail, the sender has 2 seconds to under the send.
I just did this. I pressed on the message and held it until the option of ‘mark as unread’ popped up. Then the message came back. It showed a portion of the message on my list that’s what I pressed.
