I’ve seen many tutorials telling you how to message people without a phone number using your Apple ID, but I’ve never heard anything about how to add those people who don’t use their phone number and instead use their Apple ID. I know this may have an obvious answer to long time iPhone users, but I just switched from an android and I don’t even know how to add regular contacts. Thanks for your help!

open the contact app - hit the + sign top right - enter info - done

you'll see what other labels is on there and if you have the info add it.
