Apple Care + Warranty for products purchased online

It does seem counterintuitive that the warranty for products like MacBook Pros or iPhones would start from the day of purchase rather than from the day the product is received. It can indeed be frustrating, especially for expensive items where every bit of warranty coverage counts.

The explanation you received about the warranty starting from the order date rather than the delivery date makes sense from a logistical standpoint, as Apple likely wants to streamline their warranty process and tie it directly to the purchase transaction. However, it's understandable that customers might find this approach confusing or inconvenient.

One way to mitigate this issue could be for Apple to provide clearer communication during the purchasing process, explicitly stating when the warranty coverage will begin and giving customers the option to delay the start of the warranty until they receive the product. This would empower customers to make more informed decisions about when to purchase their products, particularly if they anticipate delays in delivery or want to maximize their warranty coverage period.

Overall, while the current system may seem strange or even unfair to some customers, it's ultimately up to companies like Apple to decide how they structure their warranty policies. Providing clearer communication and more flexibility to customers could help improve the overall experience and address concerns about warranty coverage periods.
