Linking Twitter articles to Apple News subscription

Using Twitter app on iPhone and have Apple News+ app with subscription. In the Twitter app, when I try to access a link in a Tweet to a news story that is from one of sources I've signed up for in the Apple News+ app, I get a notice from the news source that I need a subscription to the news source in order to read the article. How do I get the tweet link to open my Apple News+ subscription to read the article?

Choose my news sources? I notice if I swipe from left to right on the iPhone wake up screen, it shows me a selection of “top stories“ from the Apple news app. However, the sources of news it draws from, such as the Washington Post, BBC news, CNN, all have a certain bias to them. I like the ability to see top stories, but I don’t like Apple, in a paternalistic fashion, choosing which news outlets I get my news from. Can I choose my own sources for news? Can I choose sources from outside the News app? If not, do I have free reign on any news sources I want to within the News app or only those that have been handpicked by the Apple corporation? If not, I will have to just turn off the “top stories“ feature.

Apple News+ Redirects From App I've been reading Bon Appétit magazine using my Apple News+ subscription on my iPhone 13. Many of the articles contain links to recipes or related content made by Bon Appétit. When I tap on the link I am typically redirected to the webpage on Safari. I am not able to read the article because I hit a pay wall on the Bon Appétit website. My work-around is to search for the given article by the title in the News app. This is mildly infuriating, especially after I lose my spot in the original article. I assume that this affects more Channels that Bon Appétit. I suppose there is no way for the Bon Appétit website to recognize my Apple New+ subscription? If not, then is there an easier way to redirect the article back to the app?

Customizing the Apple News feed I keep asking Apple News to “suggest less” on stories in my feed in an attempt to customize the news feed. But I keep getting more of the same kind of stories. How long is it supposed to take Apple to reflect my preferences using this system? Also, why is there no search function in the News app for iPhone on the main screen when you want to find a story that you saw but can’t find it in your feed any longer? There is a search under “manage favorites,” but search should be easily accessible from the home screen of the app.
