Mac Mini M2 & SAMSUNG 49" Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SC)

Using a new 2023 Mac Mini M2 with a Samsung 49" G9 (G95SC) monitor. Cannot get a high def cable to work, only cable that will display an image is hdmi to hdmi but the resolution is low and everything is stretched. Purchased a USB C to display port cable and it work for a little bit (had flickering issues) but then one day when i reset the computer it will no longer display an image using that cable and had to go back to HDMI to HDMI. Which cable should i get??

Test a short High Speed Premium Certified HDMI cable.

Or a short High Speed USB-C to DisplayPort / Thunderbolt 4/3 to DisplayPort 1.4 cable.

Sadly the Reviews for that 49" Wide Screen are not that good.

I am also a dual-monitor guy.

Use your HDMI port (intended for this purpose!), and the second monitor in one of the USB-C port through a simple adapter that can take the hdmi port of the monitor to a usb-c port of the mini.

Extend views. It has been my setup for years (i even have hdmi selectors on each monitor so i can swap from my mini to macbook and another windows desktop). Once in a while i may have needed to toggle switch manually, but it works like a charm.

I’m still on Ventura with the mini (will move to Sonoma soon), but there is no reason this would not work.
