iMessage phone number

Hi everyone. My IMessage is working but with my email address and I want to change it to use it with my phone number but I just can’t. It says “waiting for activation” all the time

iPhone 12 Pro Max iMessage issue When I text people they see my cloud email instead of my name. How can I switch this to just my name or phone number? In settings under iMessage, when I click Send & Recieve to change it to my phone number, my phone number is there and not greyed out but I still can't click it. Any ideas? P.S. Imessages Hello, What is wrong with my apple id, i cannot sens imessages using my phone number. In settings, imessages, you can receive imessages....., the thick is on email adress and i can’t change this, why? I try to chage this but aftet an hour of waiting for activation at the end activation is never successfully.

I use both. Go to Messages in Setting and click on Send & Receive. Check off both phone number and email in both.
