Yes, on macOS, you can set a different wallpaper for your lock screen than what appears on your desktop. To change the lock screen wallpaper on your MacBook Pro running macOS 14.4, follow these steps:

1. Open "System Preferences" from the Apple menu or the dock.

2. Click on "Desktop & Screen Saver."

3. In the "Desktop & Screen Saver" window, you'll see two tabs at the top: "Desktop" and "Screen Saver." Click on the "Desktop" tab.

4. On the left side of the window, you'll see a list of wallpaper options. Browse through the available wallpapers or click the "+" button to add your own custom image.

5. Once you've selected the wallpaper you want for your lock screen, close the "Desktop & Screen Saver" window.

After setting the wallpaper for your desktop, you can customize the lock screen wallpaper separately. Here's how:

1. Open the "System Preferences" again.

2. This time, click on "Security & Privacy."

3. In the "Security & Privacy" window, click on the "General" tab.

4. At the bottom of the tab, you'll see an option labeled "Show a message when the screen is locked." Below that, click on the "Set Lock Message" button.

5. A new window will appear with options to customize the lock screen message and wallpaper. Click on the "Set Desktop..." button to choose a different wallpaper specifically for your lock screen.

6. Choose the desired wallpaper for your lock screen and close the window.

Once you've completed these steps, your MacBook Pro will display the selected wallpaper on the lock screen, separate from the wallpaper displayed on the desktop.
