Help me with columns in pages

Hello, for some reason I cant get anymore text to get in columns. Im learing spaninsh so i want the translation behind it on the other side of the page. It seems to sometimes work and then it just doesn’t. Ive tried everything but I cant figure out why it wont work anymore. Please help me its driving me crazy lol

Pages columns do not behave like two columns in a table. Text will flow down the left column and then flow to the top of the second column, and that makes proper 1:1 association of left and right entries difficult at best.


You should be using a two column table with sufficient column width to support both languages. Then you always have a 1:1 columnar representation of your translations. Just remember that Pages splits tables across pages on a row boundary, and not on row content.
