Definition of Third-party Advertising under data collection purpose

I see that under the App Privacy section, some apps such as the Google app on the App Store collect only "Data Linked to You" and my understanding is that this is first-party data that is not shared with third parties. When you click on see details one of the data use purposes is "Third-party Advertising" which Apple describes as “displaying third-party ads or sharing data with entities that display third-party ads”

I would like to know about the second part of the definition. Does it mean entities within that app's company (e.g. Google) or third-party entities?

I appreciate your help :)

Google shares your data with anyone who pays them for it. That is how they pay the rent. And they share it even when they say they don’t, as the recent $392 million fine for selling data collected from users who thought that Privacy Mode in the Chrome browser actually conferred privacy on their usage, or the 4 billion euro fine imposed in 2022 by the EU.

In 2018, Google dropped their original motto of “Don’t be evil”. Read into that what you will.
