I gave my old iPhone away it was promptly restored to factory settings. When I tried to go into my Gmail on my new phone it wouldn't accept my password. Both email verifications are no longer viable. Is my Gmail still somehow on the old phone?

Reset your gmail Password:
No. If you reset the iPhone to Factory Settings, then no, gmail is no longer on the iPhone. So, into gmail, go into gmail settings and then remove this device from your gmail account. Also, rest your gmail password, for security purposes.
