iPhone 15 pro max camera locks up when opening roughly 50% of the time

Steps to reproduce, only occurs 50% of the time

1. Open camera through shortcut button on side of phone, the app icon on the Home Screen, or the quick menu (swipe down from top right)
2. Camera app opens but the first thing the camera saw (usually a blur as I’m moving the phone up to an angle I can take a photo with) is frozen on screen and all buttons are unresponsive
3. Close camera app by swiping up from bottom and swiping up on the app
4. Reopen camera app
5. Another ~50% chance it will be frozen

I’ve missed a lot of great shots and occurrences because of this. No idea what’s going on. The camera is half the reason I bought this expensive phone, feels real bad that it doesn’t just work.
